Radio La Mejor, an internet radio station that transmits 24/7 in Honduras, Argentina and Chili, recently invited Marina Pinto to speak live on their morning show “Fiesta con Jesús” (Party with Jesus). She spoke from her experience as the host and producer of Encuentro Familiar.
Marina sees this opportunity as just one of the ways God is helping her overcome her fears of speaking to an audience. She hears regularly from listeners that they are encouraged by her honesty and vulnerability. She says, “Through my own hard experiences in life, I can relate to their pain and suffering. I can share with them that we can be strong because we have Jesus in our heart.”
Marina also loves sharing her experience in media ministry with other young women who would like to do something similar. A university student from Argentina called during the “Party with Jesus” morning show to say that she is studying Media and Communications. Hearing Marina share about Encuentro Familiar was the encouragement she needed to believe that she could also produce a radio program for women.
Even though speaking live on the radio is far out of Marina’s comfort zone, she was thrilled that she had done it. She says, “I feel like – if only for the sake of encouraging this young woman – it was worth it.”
** This was Marina’s second live guest spot on Radio La Mejor; the first time she was asked to share about being married to Ernesto and serving God together with him. She comments that Ernesto’s ministry on Encuentro opens doors for Encuentro Famliar and allows her to do more in ministry than she could have done on her own.
