New Faces at Square One

Square One has recently welcomed a few new staff members! Here's a bit more about them!

BRENDA GRANT joined us in September as our Accounting Clerk. Since retiring from Great West Life where she was a Debt Analyst for more than 10 years, she has been offering full cycle accounting services for small businesses and non-profits. She especially enjoys helping ministry related charities. Married to a pastor, Brenda has had many opportunities to offer her accounting and bookkeeping expertise. She says, “I always joined the finance committees wherever we served.”

REIN CABALQUINTO is our new Fundraising and Communications Assistant. His first day on the job was September 10 when he courageously helped out at our AGM. Rein is a recent graduate of Red River College with a degree in Creative Communications. He already feels at home at Square One and says, “I like creating fundraising events while also sharing the message of God through social media.” Rein is also a singer / songwriter and just released his first single on Spotify in July.

ELI MELSNESS is a Practicum Student at Canadian Mennonite University, majoring in Communications and Media. He is with us for the 2020/21 school year, assisting Grant Hoeppner in radio production and video control operation. He also works with Sherryl Koop to produce Season 2 of “A Skoop of Life”. Eli is happy to be at Square One for this season. He says, “I want to develop my technical media skills and see if there’s a specific area of production I’d like to go into.”

Welcome here, Brenda, Rein and Eli!
